Jay Leno's Return To Late Night

With Conan now gone and Jay Leno returning to NBC's late night schedule how do you advertise Jay's return especially after you spent months advertising his move to prime time. Well this ad uses a bit of humor to show message of his return to late night and, is more subtle that the previous ads.

Howard Stern Attacks Jay Leno

Howard Stern has never hid the fact he dislikes Jay Leno the former Tonight show host and during last night Late Show With David Letterman he again attacked Jay Leno. After saying how much he likes David Letterman he went on to say "i never liked Jay, i can't stand Jay, i've never seen anyone who behaves like a robot this guy." Howard then went on to attack Jays final performance complaining that Jay read off a telepromter on his final show. Howard used to be on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno in earlier years but hasnt been over the last few. Does Howard really hate Jay or is this all part of Howards act who knows it does make for interesting television.

Jay Leno Gets Premiere Date For His 10pm Show

NBC has announced the premiere date for Jay Leno's new 10pm show it will be Monday September 14th. Jay had this final "Tonight Show" last Friday and Conan O' Brian took over that show Monday. Jay Leno's last show did very well in the ratings in fact it was his highest rated Friday show ever. Jays new show is a big risk for NBC as it will be on every night Monday to Friday at 10pm instead of the usual dramas in that time slot. The show will be much cheaper to produce than hour long dramas although its ratings could be smaller which could upset the affiliates as its a lead in for their late news. In the current economy with ad rates down and NBC's goal of keeping Jay Leno on the network instead of jumping to the competition and competing against Conan it makes sense. I have read numerous columns negative about the NBC move but i think it stands a chance of doing well plus FOX for example doesnt even program the 10pm hour and they are doing fine.

Reviews of the first "Tonight Show With Conan O' Brian" have been mixed with several saying he didnt react well with the audience; Its the first night over time Conan will get more comfortable, tonights guest are Tom Hanks and Green Day. "Im A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here" returns tonight at 8pm on NBC for another night of Spencer yelling im sure.
