NY Jets Join “Worst Cooks In America” Tonight

On tonight’s episode of  Food Network’s “Worst Cooks In America” some New York Jets players stop by the show. The players Kris Jenkins, Dustin Keller, Jamaal Westerman and Rodrique Wright will star alongside Chef Anne Burell and Chef Robert Irvine as they tackle tonight’s theme of Game Day menus as we draw close to the Super Bowl. Last week the Jets lost against the Steelers who were tough but America’s worst cooks won’t be easy either. On tonight’s episode the Chefs assign via a video message a scrambled recipe for a Skill Drill. The team’s then work together to unscramble the recipe so they can cook the dish while the Chefs watch on secretly. On tonight’s Main Dish Challenge the chefs come up with a huge challenge for the recruits who must cater a hors d’ oeuvre party for NFL star Kris Jenkins as well as his wife and 30 guests. After tonight’s challenge the two least successful cooks are cut.

Healthy Every Week On Food Network.com

On January 1st FoodNetwork.com started a new feature called "Healthy Every Week" where they will showcase such things as healthy weeknight appetizers, side dishes and deserts. The website also shows simple tips and tricks to make meals more health-conscious. There are also slideshows of different healthy foods for different issues like super foods, low calorie foods and gluten free foods. Not all the shows on the Food Network showcase healthy recipes but this is a resource for viewers that might be the videos are clear and easy to follow. I don't see a tie in with any of there shows on the web pages although the videos are by Food Network favorites such as Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis and Aarti Sequeira.

The Newest Iron Chef To Compete In January

Chef Jose Garces who recently won The Next Iron Chef show on the Food Network is set to have his first battle in kitchen stadium on Sunday January 17th 2010 at 9pm et/pt. At first i wasn't sure about making unknowns an Iron Chef i thought it would cheapen it but after seeing how the first winner Micheal Symon has done i have changed my mind. I presume they did this as it is easier and, less expensive than getting famous chefs but i do like this twist on the original theme. So i will be there watching when the chairman starts the battle for the next season of Iron Chef.
