Larry Kudlow CNBC Gaff

This clip is getting a lot of play right now which is understandable because of the huge human tradegy in Japan. Larry Kudlow personally puts me to sleep when he talks but he just mispoke and wasn't lessoning the human tradgedy in Japan.

"Facebook Obsession" Comes To CNBC

CNBC has really increased the number of its "CNBC Originals" episodes recently which makes a lot of sense as the shows which feature an hour episode about a single company or story can be repeated over and over; The latest episode is all about the largest social networking site on the planet Facebook and is hosted by Lester Holt. CNBC has been promoting this show heavily which makes sense because of the subject the show should get good ratings as so many people use Facebook everyday.

Is Twitter The New News Network?

Saturday when there were reports coming out of Iran of unrest over the recent elections results which of the cable news networks was covering it? The answer was easy none of them were they were showing Larry King on CNN or MSNBC's Locked Up documentaries for example. The only place covering the protests in Iran was Twitter as Iranian citizens tweeted what was going on as it happens to the world. This has happened before as the cable news networks switch from news on the weekends to prerecorded programs to fill the airtime, which is fine but as news happens they should break in. Earlier this year CNBC and FOX Business did fine work with special news programs as well as breaking in for news of the financial troubles on the weekend. I wonder why the cable news networks didnt cover this event was it because of lack of reporters on the ground or was it simply for budget reasons either way Twitter lead with this story.
