"America's Got Talent" Trailer

With the departure of Piers Morgan who wants to concentrate on his CNN talk show there was an empty spot on the "America's Got Talent" desk which has been filled by radio shock jock Howard Stern. Whatever you say about Howard Stern he is a smart guy and this season with him as host could be interesting and a nice addition to the judges table. I guess we will have to wait until May 14th when the wacky talent show "America's Got Talent" returns to NBC to judge the king of all medias judging skills.

"America's Got Talent" New Host & Other Stuff

So far on America's Got Talent this years talent has been amazing with some really good performances which should make for tough competition in the later rounds. I didn't know a lot about the new show host Nick Cannon before but he is funny and, keeps the show moving. Piers Morgan this year seems to be less tough that previous years but maybe thats because they haven't shown many of the really bad acts like they usually do. All in all this years show is very entertaining and worth watching.

On this season America's Got Talent there has been some amazing talent so far case in point is this clip from last nights show. This performer is Kevin Skinner a chicken catcher who does an amazing performance of a Garth Brooks song and leaves the audience and judges stunned.

Susan Boyle To Guest On US Show?

The Sun newspaper in England is reporting that Britains Got Talent runner up and, You Tube star Susan Boyle is going to guest star on Ugly Betty on ABC. This follows up recent reports that Susan Boyle would be on the season finale of America's Got Talent which would make sense but hasn't been confirmed yet. A spokesman for Susan Boyle has said that "Susan has many offers on the table at the moment" which isn't a denial but im sure its true that many US shows would want her on. Previous famous guest stars on Ugly Betty include Lindsey Lohan, James Van Der Beek, Naomi Campbell and Victoria Beckham.

Simon Cowell Admits He Made A Mistake

Britains Got Talent producer Simon Cowell has admitted in a op-ed piece in a London newspaper that him and his fellow producers didn't handle the Susan Boyle situation as well as they could have. Susan Boyle was thrown in to the world wide spotlight after the plain looking Scotish women had an amazing performance on the show and, became an overnight sensation on You Tube across the world. Right before the finals there was stories that Susan Boyle wouldn't perform on the finale because of stress but she did perform and was runner up to a dance group. Right after the finals Susan Boyle checked herself in to a medical clinic and there was rumors she wouldn't perform on the Britains Got Talent tour, she is performing but not on all the dates of the show. Simons comment is right before the US version called America's Got Talent starts this week with Susan Boyle being used in the NBC commercials promoting the show. On a reality talent show such as these there is always the risk that one of the contestants will crack under the pressure but hopefully after this incident the producers of these shows will be more on the look out for trouble.

When "America's Got Talent" returns to NBC on Tuesday June 23rd at 9pm it will have a new host; The new host is Nick Cannon an entertainer/comedian and producer. But returning are the judges celebrity judges David Hasslehoff, Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan.
