"World News America" Heads To PBS
Friday, March 25, 2011 at 4:09PM
"World News America" is the nightly BBC news show that is based in the United States with anchors Matt Frei and often by BBC Washington correspondent Katty Kay. The show covers American news stories and shows a lot more international news than the nightly news shows on the networks. Up until now the show has been shown in the United States on BBC America every night as well as the BBC's other channels outside the United States on BBC World News and BBC News Channel but starting Monday the show moves to PBS in the United States. The move may be a good move for BBC America who can now use the timeslots for entertainment shows which may get higher ratings but the jury is out if the move will mean more or less viewers for the show. I hope the show does well as its nice to have an alternative viewpoint to the major networks news shows.
